Terms and conditions of use
1. Nature of the service
Treepper is a technological platform that helps users form travel groups to co-coordinate and secure collective group booking discounts. Treepper is not a travel agency, booking agent, or accommodation provider. Any booking transaction is completed externally directly with the provider, and Treepper does not handle booking contracts.
2. Registration and verification
- Minimum age: You must be at least 18 years old to use Treepper.
- Identity: By using third-party systems (Google, Apple), the user agrees to provide truthful information. The creation of fake profiles or identity theft is not permitted.
3. Rules of conduct and safety
- Interaction: Treepper facilitates contact through an internal chat. Harassment, hate speech, or any illegal activity is prohibited.
- Responsibility: The user is solely responsible for their interactions. We strongly recommend not sharing financial data or meeting strangers without taking basic safety precautions.
4. Content ownership
By uploading photos to their profile, the user grants Treepper a non-exclusive license to display said content to other users for the purpose of executing the travel group organization and discount coordinating services.
5. Limitation of liability
Treepper does not guarantee that hotel information (obtained via external API) is 100% accurate in real-time, nor is it responsible for trip cancellations or incidents between users.
Privacy policy
Data controller: TREEPPER CORP
Purpose: To facilitate the formation of travel groups and group buying savings.
1. Data we collect
- Identification data: Name, gender, date of birth, and photos.
- Travel data: Destination city, selected hotel, and stay dates.
- Communications: Messages sent through the internal chat.
2. Use of information
Your travel plans (destination, hotels, dates, and group size preferences) will be visible to other users looking to join or create travel groups. Your profile will be shared with group members to coordinate collective bookings and discounts.
3. Third parties accessing data
- External APIs: For selecting cities and hotels, we send queries to external providers. We do not send your personal data to these APIs, only the search query.
4. User rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, or delete your data. Since the trip list is editable, you can delete any trip record at any time, which will immediately remove you from other users' matching lists.
5. Data retention
Data will be kept while the account is active. Past trips will be kept in the user's history unless the user decides to delete them.
